It was my second time eating at El Pibe and it didn't disappoint. The food is fantastic. Great empanadas, chopitos are a favourite, the lomo was perfect. Really nice flavours, good execution and innovative dishes. Was a little sad the ceviche is no longer on the menu but guess that's the price of innovation. Really good cocktails too, vibey atmosphere and the service was top notch.

Absolute banger of a place. Extremely hospitable and kind staff. Food and cocktail game is NEXT LEVEL. These guys know how to have a good time and they make sure you do too. One of my new favorites in Amsterdam.
Basically everything we ordered was delicious. It's not a cheap restaurant, but I think in comparison with other restaurants in the same price range, this is your money's worth! Not to forget one of the most important things: the service was amazing! The waiter was fast, very friendly and even gave us tips on how to combine dishes. The Netherlands is notorious for their bad service, so this was a big plus. You should definitely try the empanadas and one of the steaks!
Newish place on the Jordaan. Very cute decor, I love the tile. The red sangria was pretty tasty. They have red and white by the glass or jug. They also have beer, wine, and some mixed drinks. The shrimp in garlic was good and I was happy the sheafs were just decoration. The plantains with avocado cream, red onion, and chili flakes were interesting and tasty. Big portion. The steak was cooked as requested and good. The best dish was a side of vegetables. Wow - great grilled flavor and maybe some lime. So good!! The churros were freshly made and were hot and crispy. The chocolate sauce was good but I thought should be thicker. We had good service. We will be back to this nice neighborhood spot.
El Pibe was amazing. What stood out most was the service. Not too much, not too little, just perfect. The waiter made us a great surprise cocktail (picture). Still don't know what's in it. Beef was great, shrimps were great and the sauces and herbs were very tasteful. Had a blast.
