We are Marin and Julian, two programmers who started an apparel business with no prior experience. Originally from Bulgaria, we wanted to setup the foundation of our company there, so we could leverage the country's long-standing traditions in textile and clothing manufacturing, at the same time giving back to a place that made us who we are. We bootstrapped DULO with our own savings in September 2016. After that we spent one year in product development, going over 70+ prototypes, testing with real people all over the world. The DULO dress shirt, our first flagship product, is a non-iron dress shirt that removes the hassle from looking sharp. Traditional cotton shirts suck. They require a lot of care and waste your time. They are uncomfortable. Using performance fabrics, we redefined that traditional centerpiece into an item that stays out of your way when you need that extra bit of a stylish look. Every DULO shirt is made in Bulgaria with premium European materials, coming from Italy, Portugal, Germany, and Greece. We wanted to craft the best experience for every DULO owner, so we cut no corners, and opted for the highest quality materials we could obtain. Through our experience of building DULO we want to give back and inspire a community of makers to start their own venture. From Day 1 we've been documenting the process of building the business. Our aim is to show how a sustainable, sane business is made and set the record straight about entrepreneurship. Leading by example, we want to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs with a strong maker mindset.
