Went out to this place with a couple of friends. Pretty bubbly atmosphere, filled with people and super lively. A must do for anyone visiting AMSTERDAM. There are locals too from the area but mostly tourists. We ordered a sharing platter and was served after about a fifteen minute wait. The food was average. The spaces tends to get crowded very fast although it’s massive. It’s not possible to make prior reservations so you need to be on the lookout for a table when you get there. We were lucky enough to find a group that were about to leave. There are so many food variables to pick from to cater to almost anyone’s tastes. Same goes for the drinks. You need to order at the stalls and collect when the food is ready. Nothing is served to the table. Interestingly the cutlery and dishes/ plates were mainly made of sustainable material. There was very minimal use of plastic in the whole space.

This was so good, I ate here twice on my trip to Amsterdam. You have to wait a while for the food, but that's a good time to grab a drink at one of the bars in Foodhallen.
They made the effort to personalize the bag for my son’s birthday. The content of the bag was also delicious.
This place is everything! Their lotus Flower dish (cannot remember the name) is one of the best things I've ever eaten. I would highly recommend this spot, food is well priced and fresh and the staff are helpful and nice to talk to. Cannot wait to go back.
I tried some vegetable dim sum and some fried shrimp stuff, it was very good! Although it wasn't really what I was expecting but it was nice anyway. It's just very sad that they do not have a lot of veggies options. They put meat everywhere! That's a bit of a shame in my opinion. And the prices were a bit high for the quantity but it was fine.

Located in the very nice old tram storage hall, named ‘Foodhallen’, you will find just next to Kanarie Club ‘Dim Sum Thing’. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go eat there. We took 6 dim sums, and that was clearly a joke. The price was 10 euros for 6 pieces and they were just basic and even the cheapest. It was unbelievably small, taste was nothing special and was so sticky to the plate you could not get it off, so it breaks into pieces. I have been to China and I tasted the real dim sums and this place is nothing like that. Take any other place to not ruin the nice experience of the Foodhallen!
Great food stall. I tried 2 kinds of dim sums and it was good. Quite popular so there is a little waiting. I would have been nice to have more a vegetarian (or vegan) options.
