Very nice place
Beautiful and unique bridge in the heart of Amsterdam. The surrounding area is has a spectacular ambience, making Brug #222 an attractive option (if bridges are your thing). Aluminiumbrug is also a rijksmonument, and the first aluminum bridge built in the Netherlands.
Lovely bridge in the Amsterdam. Pretty scenic. Great surroundings
The Aluminiumbrug is a lift (essentially a drawbridge) bridge over the Kloveniersburgwal canal connecting the Nieuwe Doelenstraat on the west bank with the Staalstraat on the east. A bridge has been at the location for over a hundred years, but the current bridge was in stalled in the 1950s when it got it name when it was modified to become the first bridge in Amsterdam to feature a aluminium deck that could be drawn up to allow taller ships to pass. Not a must see, but it is quite pretty and provides a scenic spot for photos over Kloveniersburgwal.
