The owner was seriously rude and unfriendly. By reading the other reviews here and his feedback upon those, it becomes even more clear that he’s rather interested in himself and being defensive than making sure his visitors have a good time at his establishment.. Unless you want to support his venue for the lovely view, I’d recommend visiting another place in the area, any other place.

We live abroad. Whenever we are in the Netherlands we often end up here. The food is good, as well as the location coming from Amsterdam South or Amstelveen. Friendly staff.
A really nice place to stop over for lunch if you are riding your bike. They also have a wonderful outdoor seating area on the canal for those lovely warm summer days. They also have a nice inside area if the weather is not the best and has a nice atmosphere.
On sunny days the location is fantastic: the terrace is a wooden deck in a bend in the river Amstel. The owner is always (looking) grumpy, but the hired staff make up for it. Prices are okay, the food is your everyday tex-mex style stuff. Nothing that will blow your mind, but nothing to really complain about either.
I put 1star coz i can't put minus 5stars! What is wrong with that waiter/owner? Is he in andropause or just disbalanced hormones in mood to do his job? We didnt go there just to eat. People go to enjoy the service too. This arrogant man was clashing glasses&plates like crazy&everybody was shocked of his behaviour. And over all, he dared to be sarcastic&ironic! Who is that loser? He owns a restaurant&he thinks he can own the customers too? We r sure that it is something wrong in his brain&he should stop doing this job. Who cares for food if we dont have the minimal of politeness!?!?! Instead of answering to me, just better close ur business coz u r not able to manage it! At least that woman/waitress was sweet&nice. No recommend at all to go there!!!
Good food at a splendid location on the river Amstel. Steak was excellent and the restaurant is specialized in TexMex.
