It's been a while since I've gone out for a good Italian so I was really pleased with this. The Staff are really friendly and helpful when picking what dishes you fancy. Food was top notch. Everything came out on time and we weren't waiting too long between courses. Looking forward to come back here in the future.

This place has great food. It has a lovely friendly atmosphere. All the meals were delicious and we had a great evening. Great location. Certainly be back for Amore .
Booked a table for last night but when we arrived it was closed. Went into the bar at the Dun Cow to ask what was going on to be told by the apologetic bar man that they weren't going to open that night. I'd only booked the table the night before and when we asked why they hadn't bothered letting us know, we were told the restaurant had tried to contact people to let them know ( not the case) Surely it's not that difficult to go through their list of bookings and ring people. Not ideal to turn up on a Friday night then have to go looking for somewhere else last minute. Won't bother going back.
Went here on a Saturday evening for a meal, staff were friendly, really decent food portions and was genuinely the nicest food I've had in a long time from an Italians. To top it off the prices are really reasonable too. Will be visiting again when next in Sunderland.
Arrived at 6:20, pre-theatre (with a theatre start of 7:30) and unfortunately received our main meal ten minutes before show time. The delay was caused in part by waiting for menus for over twenty minutes and poor organisation between staff - we had to ask for both the drinks and then the food menu ourselves, else risk an indefinite wait. Our food could otherwise have been very enjoyable, but we were only able to enjoy part of it before running to our show. Would not recommend before a booked show unless plenty of time is allowed.
