Is someone reading these reviews? Are even the owners or management care about their customers? What a horrible place to take your family for dinner. Worst service experience of my life. Spend local and help local businesses is what kiwis want to do but if you get pathetic service as this place why would one want to spend any money. Staff at this place seem to feel that they are doing the customers a favour but they should realise that customers pay their wages. Pathetic and disappointing service and food. Pull up your socks or close down your doors if you can’t have a simple customer service skill. Waste of my time AMBROSIA. Not recommend at all.

Nice Food, good price and good service.
Just had 29.90 special. Soup was lukewarm, steak ordered medium rare came medium well done, waited over half hour for dessert and finally managed to get a server to chase it up. No server came near the table to check if more drinks required, we would have ordered more if asked. Overall experience, below average, don't recommend.
We just ordered the ocean and earth platter, a giant jug and a couple of cocktails and it was the best platter I've ever had, cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere and staff were great. Fantastic experience

The food was amazing. We have eaten at many restaurants all around the world and we were so impressed with not only the quality and quantity but the presentation. All 3 courses were delicious. What really topped out experience were the staff. They were lovely -especially the English guy who went above and beyond. Very impressed with everything, we will be back for sure and we will be sending a truck load of people your way. Thanks guys!
We ordered the 29.99 meal 6 times for our group, the service is poor and the lady who works at cash counter has no hospitality skills, she was grumpy, had no smile on her face and acted like she is doing us a favor by taking our money. Will never go there again n will not recommend.
Good menu and wine list. Top quality meal very well presented. Early bird special great value.
