I'm not a big drinker, so had no idea this place existed until I needed a particular wine as a present. The place was quirky with lots of choice. I felt welcomed right away, and my needs were met. This little wine shop surpassed my expectations!

Very knowledge staff, I've always shop there since they used to called the Tasting Room (lovely food, such a shame). I'm a Run drinker and they have a huge variety of quality rum, they also have gin, whisky, armagnac, wine, champagne etc. Competitive price as well!

When shopping for alcohol as a gift, most of us including myself, rely on the recommendations of others. I went back to this store unaware that 14 months ago, it had changed hands. When I asked the manager about the Armagnac I wanted to buy for my husband, as the label didn't look like the one I had bought for the past 5 years, he said the brand is and was the only one they sold. It was not a bare face lie but neither was it the whole truth. After making me believe that I really didn't know what I was was on about, I bought what they recommended and left. The whole truth, as explained when I rang the shop on discovering it is a completely different brand - that the last place had gone bankrupt - could easily have been explained. I would still probably have been happy to buy what they had as I don't drink the contents of the label. However, having spent over a 100 on something my husband may not be impressed with - he loved the other brand - is one thing, but even if he likes this one more, I will not be back. Trust is like alcohol, can evaporate very rapidly!
