I am a local parent to Learn North West team and gotten to know them really well over the past year here in Altrincham. The tutors go above and beyond in not only teaching but also caring and supporting all the children in their year groups. My son has done a taster session and we can't wait to start tutoring lessons this spring, tailored to my son and boost his confidence in English and maths. It is a pleasure to be a part of the ' Learn North West Tutors' team. I joined ‘Learn North West’ in the summer of 2019 after a teaching career of over 30 years. It has given me the chance to continue doing what I love, which is helping children to learn. Thank you to all the other tutors, in particular, to Maria and Helen, for making me welcome and being so supportive. It has been evident that a great deal of thought and effort is made to match children's learning needs with the individual expertise of the tutors. I have very much enjoyed my tutoring sessions with all of the wonderful children I have had the privilege to teach so far.
My eight year old son has been attending lessons at Learn North West for almost a year now and we couldn't be happier with them. The tutors are fantastic and have taken the time to understand his needs and tailor their teaching accordingly. They make everything fun for him, so it doesn't really feel like learning at all. In a few months he has gone from being a reluctant reader to an avid one. As a parent I find Helen and Maria really easy to communicate with and extremely responsive to any questions I have. They're also very flexible and my son has transferred from one to one lessons to a small group now, which he loves. The option to pay with childcare vouchers is also much appreciated. The transition to online classes during the latest lockdown was absolutely seamless and clearly very well organised and prepared. I'd recommend Learn North West to anyone looking for support, we have used other tutoring agencies in the past and they haven't been a patch on this one.
My daughter is determined to study for her 11 exams but struggles slightly in groups with her confidence. North west tutors were brilliant at working out the right solution for her. She has one to one sessions with an amazing tutor called Jo. They have forged a lovely relationship and my 9 year old loves her sessions even remotely (because of COVID restrictions). She wants to work hard and loves learning with this amazing resource. It’s also a bonus that we can pay for it through childcare vouchers.
Both of my children attend the small group classes and I have seen a huge difference in both of them. My eldest child's class teacher has even remarked on the progress he has made since September with his use of vocabulary and comprehension skills. My younger child tends to lack confidence to tackle work on her own, but I've seen a big difference while we're home schooling. The maths she's looking at with Helen tends to be covered in the following week at school, meaning my daughter has the confidence to breeze through it on her own. I'd highly recommend Learn North West Tutors.
