An absolute treasure trove, packed to the rafters with books on every subject. Old books, retro, nearly new. Very good prices and all run by enthusiastic and friendly volunteers. Opening hours are quite limited so check before you go.

A little slice of Hay-On-Wye in Alsager, this second hand bookshop has thousands of books on offer at the 50p to 3 mark. You can get a stellar haul for under 20, including classics, sci-fi and fantasy, cookbooks, poetry and rare, dusty tomes! Can pay by card or cash. Lovely folks on hand to help you find what you're looking for. Bit of a special experience too in the old church/chapel setting. Only downside is the very limited opening hours, but it makes it all the more exciting when you manage a visit!

Great place to while away an hour or so browsing and buying books. Brews are available along with seating. Excellent range of preloved books, massive selection of subjects and friendly staff

Has to be the biggest selection of second hand books that I've ever seen. Very helpful staff, definately worth popping in for a browse. Interesting building as well. If you read, it is definately worth a visit.
