We had a visit on the opening day. The man who served us in the gentlemen’s department was awesome!! Many compliment to him and the rest of the staff. Keep it up. We also had a drink in the la place and it was nice and how we remembered.

It's great that such store is present in Almere Centrum. It adds another dimension to the city center. There is nice glass ceiling in the cafeteria on the last floor.
We just visited the La Place restaurant which serves breakfast buffet for just 4,95 until 11am, we missed that unfortunately. La Place has excellent food with bio/organic products , they have a inside area where you can eat and a nice terras outside looking over the shopping mall and roof gardens that are situated on top of the apartment buildings. I would recommend that you download the La Place APP for discount and free coffee (we ordered for 21 euro food and drinks and we received one of the coffees for free which represent 3,50) The food is fresh prepared in front of tou and the new staff (the ones after V&D left are way more customer friendly and more professional then the old staff) Hudson bay includes a lot of brands and those are top brands so the store is not cheap. You should not say the store is expensive since the prices are normal consumer prices. You can compare this store with the Bijenkorf (which has even orher higher price products/brands) . The retail prices are simular compared with other smaller stores that sell Hillfinger , Birkenstock , Levis Calvin Klein , Geox , PME legend etc Today i found they have many products priced with 30% discount (sale) and when you become a member it adds another 10% discount.
What a pity that it’s going to close soon.
It may be an American department store, but it definitely has Dutch service, which means no service. No one offers to help or find another size, long queues at the checkout.
Shops looks nice and they sell a large variety of articles of good brands. But prices are outrageous. They cannot compete with other retail shops. I saw a Fossil watch for almost double the price next door. Latest fragrance of Chanel 35% higher than in any other shop. They need to start following the prices of other shops.
This departmental shop was having a closing down sale with most of the stuff being marked down and just in time for Christmas shopping as well. Good bargains to be had and a pity that it closing down
Have always nice deals , no need to go to a lot of shops as most of the things are covered in one area , restaurant in the highest floor , well recommended , ground floor have access to Sport 2000
