Allports. Fantastic fish and chips, dreadful surly staff. I own a retail food establishment and I'd sack my staff if they were this rude. I'm a fluent Welsh speaker from the area, and the staff refused to speak Welsh to me purely because they overheard me speaking English to a colleague. To top it all when I opened my box of chicken and chips as we drove across the cob, there were no chips inside. I'm not the only person to have commented on how rude and surly the allports staff are. It's almost becoming a pastiche. I see a new bollocs cymreag meme on the horizon.

We decided to grab some fish and chips to watch the sun go down on the beach. While ordering I had the feeling from the staff that our custom was unwanted and i felt uncomfortable, the staff hardly spoke and didnt even smile. We arrived at the beach and opened up our tea. The fish was dripping in oil and the chips were cold and looked old. Wouldn't return.
I can only add to the positive postings on this establishment. Think about fish and chips from years ago. Crisp batter surrounding huge flakes of cod, home made chips, soft on the inside, crisp on the outer, mushy peas that could drown a mud hopper, gravy to die for, spotless surroundings and a friendly chatty staff. Chippy heaven. This is Allports.
Fantastic food very tasty and well worth a visit.
