We booked a table at The Woodsman for our first meal out after lockdown during the Eat Out to Help Out campaign. The staff were friendly and explained all the rules in place. Tables were well spaced out within the restaurant. We had the mozzarella sticks and haggis to start, steak and veggie burger for main and waffles and cheesecake for desert. The portions were large and the food tasted great!

Even during these difficult times the Woodsmans quality shone through, food choices were excellent, staff were amazing all while very aware of current restrictions, that definitely did not impose on the experience. Always a pleasure to visit the Woodsman, well deserved 5 stars...

Absolutely delicious! We had lamb shank and chicken fajitas followed by hot chocolate fudge cake and apple pie....what a delight and delicious too. Been before and that standard and quality of the food us always first class. It was extremely busy but the staff (as always) were fantastic, friendly, professional, helpful and nothing was a problem. Well done Would recommend to everyone and I would definitely go again (sorry no photos was so delicious so tucked in before I remembered )
This was my first visit to the restaurant and also my first evening meal out since lockdown. All safety measures were in place and were explained to us on arrival. Staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a wide choice on the menu plus daily specials, and we all chose different meals. Food was well presented and all four of us enjoyed the food. Although the restaurant is around 15 miles from home, it was well worth the trip and I will definitely be back.
