Look down in the old quarry. Denmark has collected granite from here for decades. Beautiful place.

The museum is small but gives a rich overview of the history of quarry work on Bornholm. The quarry itself is a deep pit carved from the bedrock and wonderful to go for a walk in. The owners are friendly and easy to talk to and as they work the quarry themselves they know a lot. Ask for a demo of rock breaking. It's easier than you'd expect.
The museum tell the story of queries on Bornholm and the story of the famous Bornholm granite. The people in charge are stone workers and know their stuff.

Jeg havde svært ved at finde vejen til p pladsen, så jeg endte med at parkere ca en kilometer derfra. Det gav dog en fin gåtur ad eng og skovveje. Lille hyggeligt sted med en god fortæller og med fine eksempler på forskellige typer granit. Selve udstillingen omkring hvordan granit er blevet brudt igennem tiderne trænger dog efterhånden til en opdatering.
