After looking for a different India takeaway and reading reviews we thought wow, let's try this! Double check and compare when ordering directly from website and uber eats as prices are different by quite a bit! Food arrived on time which is good. But the size of portions???? I mean you would expect at least a chicken breast as a portion - although they were generous with a sauce. 5 little chicken pieces were drowning in a massive plastic box which was definitely less than a whole chicken breast. Same with lamb - more like a starter. Good we ordered rice so kind of compensated lack of meat! Sharing platter also didn't impressed, taste like it's been cooked and left to dry out. Really overpriced for a size of portions. Sadly would not recommend it and really disappointed as paid a lot of money.

Alleppey Boat takes me back to India every time I eat there. From the number of dishes I've tried, all of which were excellent, I have to point out that their \Southern Railway Lamb\ paired with the \Kerala Paratha\ is absolutely brilliant. Their \Dosas\ and \Medu vada\, served with fresh chutneys might be better than what I've eaten in India. While I'm still in the process of eating my way through Alleppey Boat's menu I can definitely recommend the Mango Lassi, Pepper Chicken Chettinad, and Chilli Cheese Garlic Naan as well. Don't be shy to ask the staff for recommendations and to adjust the dish to your preference. They are more than willing to make sure that you have the best experience. Having visited 3 times and already planning my 4th, I think it's safe to say Alleppey Boat is my new favourite place for Indian food.

A Flavour - Packed Evening! Ordered for collection a few nights ago and was absolutely satisfied with my entire experience from beginning to end! I ordered from their website where I received amazing offers and the food was decently priced as compared to other ordering sites I've been on. As soon as I entered the restaurant to collect my order, I was greeted by their wonderful staff who were friendly and way beyond hospitable! They were very mindful about COVID regulations. The staff wore masks and I was requested to use hand sanitizer before entering the premises. By the time I arrived back home, the food was still fresh and piping hot. The chicken lollipops were juicy, yet crunchy on the outside. The garlic chilli prawns were huge, succulent, and so flavoursome without being too overpowering. And the fluffy egg fried rice was the perfect accompaniment to the prawns. All in all...simply superb. Some restaurants have great food, some have great service; it's very rare to find a restaurant that masters both. After my first experience, I can honestly say with great certainty that Alleppey Boat restaurant specializes in both great food and superb service. I can't wait to dine-in when you re-open again! Until then, I will look forward to ordering from you soon.

Absaloute gem of a place. The dosas are 10/10 The uttapam is one hell of a starter. Second time here today, tried both fish curries! Both were fantastic. The salmon was flakey and substantial! I appreciate simple ingredients and powerful flavour. I appreciate this place. Note - 30% most days in September!

The food is absolutely delicious. From starters to dessert everything is well cooked, presented and undoubtedly delicious. We had ordered the papdi chaat and it was just perfect street food to have. The lamb chops are a must have!! They are soo tender, juicy and has just the right amount of spice. In the mains, the southern railway lamb and the Goan fish curry are soo flavorful and the portions are filling. The restaurant perfectly manages the waiting period between the starters and mains. They had my favorite kulfi, the mango flavor. I was very happy. On a whole, the staff was polite and attentive. The ambiance was great and the food was delicious. Definitely will be going there again.
