Came here as visitors for a brass band contest. Lovely school but was a bit off by the 'All gender' toilets. As a person with disabilities I am used to using the unisex 'disabled toilet' (strange and but I know that they mean it's a perfectly good toilet for the use of people with disabilities). As it was a shared space there were no urinals and a single, disconcertingly long queue formed rapidly. Men's aim is notorious and no different here which soon made it less pleasant for the women (who by anatomy have to sit each time). I must point out that the toilet facilities, like the rest of the school, were modern and were spotlessly clean at the start of the day (I know as I was there) Someone associated with the school and kindly helping that weekend (thank you all!) advised that the children themselves tended to err boys to the facilities on the left side, girls to the facilities on the right side. Interesting eh? Other than that (and maybe it says more about the people of all ages who play in brass bands? Hope not!) All Saints Academy looks to be a good school to belong to. Excellent facilities, interesting work displayed on the classroom walls and a nice feel about it. Thank for opening up at a weekend - it would be hard to find a similar venue able to cope with the number of people from different bands descending for a contest requiring changing rooms, practice rooms, warm up rooms, cafe & toilets.
