Very delicious indonesian food. I can highly recommend this restaurant. Quick and friendly service. And the restaurant is also suitable for people with food allergies, as almost all dishes are gluten and lactose free and they respond to personal preferences.

Had the vegetarian Kecil sharing plate with a dozen different tasting dishes, was quite yummy. Even got refills for the ones we liked most. Super amazing service, the owner is probably the nicest person I've been served by in a restaurant. Also nice to sit, right next to the water.

I enjoy eating here, it was my 3rd time. The personnel is great, very friendly and attentive. However this was the first time with my Indonesian wife and her opinion differs from mine. We started with a Soto Ayam and Martabak. I loved the Martabak and Soto, but my wife was less impressed with the Soto Ayam. There was no chicken in what is basically a Chicken soup. It tastes good, the broth is excellent but the actual chicken was missing. For the main course we had Ayam Paniki and Daging Rendang. The Ayam Paniki was wonderfull and to me the Rendang was good as well but my wife didn't like it and said the taste was far removed from actual Rendang. I know what she means since I am familiar with the Indonesian Kitchen as well and as with most Indonesian Restaurants the spices have been toned down to not challenge the locales. For me (Westerners) it's fantastic food, but to Indonesian people it's a bit lacking. On another note the portions are quite big and you get a lot of additional side dishes like Gado Gado, vegetable smoor, atjar ketimun, serundeng and rujak. We were very full and with the rujak (fruit) we did not need a dessert anymore. I think if you leave some of the side dishes, especially the fruit out, you will sell a lot more desserts. Just a tip. Last but not least, the decoration could be more Indonesian themed. It's too brown cafe-ish for something that should have a more Tropical vibe. It doesn't scream Indonesian Restaurant from the outside. Nonetheless, I give this critique because I enjoyed the food amd the personnel, but I think Deli needs a bit of push in the right direction to become great and stand out more!
