Prepare for some very tasty Indonesian food closer to the center of Alkmaar. Fantastic service with very friendly servers, food was incredibly spicy when necessary and mild and soothingly sweet to relieve the sweat. Price what you would expect for the areav and portion size. Definitely would return if I lived nearby.

Very very very nice Indonesian food for a very nice and fair price. Go to Alkmaar and eat this delicious food!
Cafe Bali, is a great somewhat hidden Indonesian restaurant, conveniently situated next to the Waagplein in Alkmaar. The menu will appeal to both Westerners as well as Indonesians. Approved by my Indonesian wife. The portions are big though and the personnel is aware of that. When asked they will provide a plastic bin for takeaway. We ended up eating the leftovers for lunch the next day. So great value for your money as well.
The portions are very generous, you won't leave hungry I assure you. The food is authentic, it has an outstanding quality, it's quite a treat to eat here for a reasonable price, walking distance from the cheese museum and wagplein. Offering a wide range of options for meat eaters and vegetarian customers, spicy and non spicy food lovers alike. The nasi tofu, for example, is excellent for vegetarians. Charming Christmas atmosphere in December and very good service.
Enjoyed authentic Indonesian dishes here. Having visited the island Bali I would say that the flavours are spot on. Portion size is quite large which I find a plus. Prices are avarage but cheap if you consider portion size. The restaurant features some nice Indonesian decorations but not overly done. I would not recommend sitting close to the door as there can be quite a draft. All in all a place I will gladly revisit sometime soon to check out the rest of the dishes!
Who knew that one can have such quality Indonesian food right here in Alkmaar! Delicious, flavorful, authentic. Recommend.
Excellent food. Slight disappointment that we didn't get the prawns on the satay menu & it was replaced by a hard boiled egg.
I only really reccomend going here in groups \u003e6 because of their group assortments. Their "rijsttafels" far surpass the rest of their menu in diversiveness in my opinion. Food is pretty basic, but good. Good large portions.
