This is an overall good value for your money place. My sister lives in Santa Monica and this is a bit of a drive. Their luncheon specials are very reasonable and a great selection. They have a great tasting Xiaolongbao, 50 for 16, if you don't mind getting them frozen and cook them at home. In this current time, being able to pick up good food at a reasonable price is worth the drive.

Good Chinese fast food for a good price. Best 生煎包(don't know the English translation sry)
David Chang (Momofuku) favorite has wide variety of great stuff. Inexpensive, order at counter style. Shanghai Pan Fried Small Bao outstanding.
The pan fried bun here is really good. Pls be aware of the big plate size here :) too much food for party of 2 as breakfast.
