Been using this chippy on and off for the last while as it's often on my route home. It's always been good but I just wanted to say I had the best fish and chips (single black pudding) I have had in years if not ever. It was so thick and the batter was the right amount of crispy all over. NVR to busy and always friendly. Give them a try.

Prompt service. Always enjoy jovial attitude of staff. Best to phone order. Cooked to order. Due to size of shop you will probably have to wait outside. Phoning in your order will save standing outside. Still accepting cash. Payment by card welcome. Delivery service available.

First time to Alfies will be the last, after reading positive reviews thought we would give them a try, boneless fish was deep fried to within an inch of its life, why I was told boneless fish takes longer to cook is beyond me, fish was dry as a bone and batter so hard even the dog wouldn't eat it!! Chips were OK ish but quite pricey overall for what we received, expected much better quanlity
