So we've been looking for a new Barbacoa joint and I decided to try Alejandro's. Backstory: I love Del Albas in San Benito due to the fresh Lengua. Since we moved we haven't had Barbacoa in 4 months. Comparing both Barbacoas, Alejandors is drier and not as tasteful. I ordered the Especial and Lengua. The Lengua was SUPER dry and I had to remove the excess skin that surrounds the meat. Even then, it was dry. Salsa was super watery. Didn't add any taste whatsoever. Had to mix both types of meats to get some sort of taste. From now on, I will make the drive to San Benito. Till then, the search continues for a good Barbacoa place in Harlingen. Positive: Bread selection. Tortillas. Get there early. Line by 7AM.

They have dirty hands literally.tgen they dont use sanitizer on there hands.they need alit of discipline on keeping that place sanitized.ill never go there again.they dont take thus virus seriously.
Really like this place for tamales and sweet bread. Classic panaderia with a pretty large assortment of bread. They have about 6 different tamale flavors and out of the three that I've tasted, can say they are pretty good. Not too oily or greasy with good flavor and not too much masa to contents ratio. Lot of other little snacks and drinks, overall 5 stars
I believe we are lucky to have a place like Alejandro's in Harlingen. They have realkly good food
