One of the best restaurants that I have been too! Exceptional service, extremely great food! Cannot recommend the food enough everything from the starters to the main course! The ambience of the restaurant is second to none! The website doesn't capture half of how gorgeous this place is! Will be back soon! I LOVED it! Exceptional restaurant with fish and meat dishes. Delicious desserts and prompt, polite service. The sunset from the conservatory over the fields can just add to the ambiance. Well worth a visit and you pay for what you get.

Always enjoy Alec's restaurant, the staff assistance is exceptional. If you have an enquiry they'll be able to help. The food is outstanding, I recommend the rump of lamb or cod and chip (I cant remember the exact names). As a restaurant, it is pricey but you've got to remember the level of quality you recieve. For birthdays it's a nice place to celebrate.

The variety of food was absolutely brilliant. The crab to start was delicious as was the rest of the food that I hate here. Brilliant food coupled with brilliant service. I will definitely be going back and couldn’t recommend going here.

Visited for the first time with my partner & her family for a 60th birthday. Although the location is out of the way, it makes for a beautiful setting. We were sat on the terrace with brilliant views of the Essex countryside & sunset. As a group we ordered a mix of seafood & red meat which all went down a treat, myself opting for a surf & turf option which was comprised of a fillet of beef and king prawn. The steak was cooked to perfection. We did not have dessert as we brought along a birthday cake. The service was very good on the night and the bill was super-reasonable, even though there were 6 of us. Will return!
