Staff good and helpful. Visited the store at 07.30 had to walk around pallets and boxes being unloaded difficult to get things same every week this should be done earlier don't get this in lidl. Despite request still no tomato juice on sale act on this or feedback is useless

On balance, I am giving the new Aldi store 5 stars. As a Lidl shopper (and every other supermarket in truth) I was keen to check out the new store. I liked; 1. It was quiet. Later on is clearly a great time to go. 2. Some of the products seem as good if not better than Lidl. 3. They had some bargains in the middle which were right up my street. Usually I avoid this stuff. 4. They had animal friendly toiletries ( more than Lidl ) and a small but decent range. 5. The beers look ok. The gin looks amazing and it was all so tidy and we'll presented. Great job! Importantly, I liked the fact you can fill your water bottle in the loo. Very few supermarkets have come to accept that flogging endless plastic bottles and deliberately having no cold water is evil and cruel to the world. Sure - everyone sells plastic bottles but the withholding of fresh cold water is criminal and should be mandatory. Proper hand dryers are also very much appreciated. I didn't like; 1. No free range sausages, seemingly. 2. Herding of customers with barriers - why make it so hard to get in and out of both sides of the till? Or the doors? If people are nicking stuff use these barriers but please have a free walkway so you can get to the loo without behaving suspiciously by climbing over said barriers. Also, having to go around the entire store to collect someone and help them pack is kind of annoying. Again - it's security but it makes Aldi look paranoid. 3. A few alcohol lines are missing. 4. A couple more frozen vegetable options would be good. I look forward to visiting again. Definitely go late!
Nice to see more tills open so no queuing.
The place is good for certain items but their bread is never fresh.
