So being a hospital and after reading the reviews we expected to wait for a while or even a few hours for someone to check my foot (which we suspected was broken). However we found the staff lovely and the whole process was pretty quick. I was seen by a general doctor, had x-rays done, had another doctors consultancy where they confirmed yes I had a broken foot, had a cast applied and finally given a pain managing injection - all in the space of 1.5hrs. I don’t think we waited more than 10mins for any part. This might be an exception, but I wanted to write a review just to shine a light on my experience.

Went there 3 times in 2 days, wait to be examined minimum 2 hours, medical staff very arrogant . Used to be a great hospital!pediatric section so so poor! Just a hint, when X-ray or other exams needed children should move to imagiology section, I got sick, fever and running nose whilst waiting for my daughters diagnose! This is not supposed to happen, emergency means urgent!

I just left this hospital untreated for a very serious kidney infection. Right after i got in, the lady that first saw me was very undertrained (calling to ask questions mid session) and saying \that i couldn't prove vomiting all day unless I vomited in front of her\ and I'm pretty sure she only wrote half of the things I told her. I haven't ate nothing all day, vomited throughout it and she didn't even saw my heartrate. Took my temperature and sent me to the waiting room. 1.30h waiting in very umconfortable chairs, in much pain, fever, will to vomit and feeling like I was going to faint, I am finally called by my doctor. Explained I already have been there less than a month ago with the same issue but when the infection was at its initiate state (as told by the other doctor). She saw my profile and proceed to explain that neither the other doctor neither her did the laboratory examination to know exactly what type of infection I have, just the test to see if I have an infection. Proceeded to tell me that she was going to give me a random ANTIBIOTIC and that I had to go to my local medic center to have this exam done to know what medication I need. A medic that gives me an antibiotic as a shot in the dark does not deserve to be a doctor. Antibiotics are very nocive to health and should only be given under very serious situations, I left the hospital immediately since I won't be given random medication for bacterias I don't own. Needless to say all of them were very arrogant and look at people like less of a person. Awful awful hospital, never again.

I got into a biking accident that left me with so much pain in my left hip that I could barely stand. I went in and got x-rayed. I was examined by Dr. Jose Guerreiro and he told me that I had no broken bones that he could see. He was very very nice. He gave me a prescription including the advice to throw my bicycle into Boca de Inferno. Ha! Good advice. Overall, a first-rate experience.

After having sustained a deep laceration to my thigh, I attended the emergency department. People were friendly and nice. Dr Francisco the surgeon and his colleague stitched very appropriately my wound. It was a 5 stars care. Thank you very much.

Why do you allow only 1 parent to be in Paediatrica , I went on Saturday at midnight with my son and partner and I was not allowed in. I think this is a bad decision and makes no sense at all. Please tell me why, in the UK we do NOT do this as we know it is important for both parents to be there. What is the logic????? Very poor service, not impressed at all!!!
