Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area. We did not expect such a good range of meat and fish dishes from the menu. The sauces are superb, do not forget to dip a chunk of bread on it! The 5th star is because Mahou beer is the draft option. Will repeat soon

So don’t be fooled by the outside appearance. Inside you will be welcomed by a helpful staff and dishes that are amazing. Rui is a very cultured chef with knowing a lot of languages but mostly for making dishes that you will remember. Of course a family atmosphere restaurant also means that it’s cozy and makes you feel at home. If the restaurant is full, just be patient with the short staff and your experience will be great. Museo dos Salgados gives you such an experience with taste of different spices. We have tried different restaurants and this restaurant is memorable. Thank you Rui & Staff Museo Dos Salgados. The last 3 times we wen‘t there, everything was perfect. Today we were disappointed about the meal and the Service. My main course (chicken) was good, the Steak from my boyfriend was so sad :( he ordered it Medium and the Steak was well done, but that ist not all, the meat was full of tendons, so that it was not really fun to eat. After the Dinner we said this to the Service and...... nothing happened :( no sorry, no free drink or a reduction of the bill. That‘s not really what we understand of good Service and Quality.

FANTASTIC the best place to eat in the area, staff very friendly and accommodating, good knowledge of wines and give great recommendations, food cooked fresh and to order so sometimes when busy take a little longer than usual. Good outside seating area too.

We had 5 night stay at Salgados Dunas Suites. It is about 25 minute walk to this restaurant but really well worth the hike! Lovely staff so friendly. food was really very good and nice local wines served at a good price. it was so good we visited it twice in spite of the walk. thank you for the experience.
