I have lived in 4 states and no sushi restaurant satisfies me like this one. They have such an extensive selection of rolls, you're bound to find something even for the pickiest of people. I came back after 6 years of living away and got the sunshine roll and it was even bigger than I remembered. You won't get tiny,, skimpy rolls here and they are reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and attentive, I recommend making reservations since there is almost always a wait time.

Very good quality sushi. The place was packed on a Sunday night, but fast service. Got my sushi quickly. It can get a little loud, so the ambience isn’t really why you’re there. Just the good sushi. Prompt service. Very hospitable and friendly. And really delicious sushi. The plates are beautifully presented with these orchids (as pictured). Would return. Good for groups. The outdoor patio is also open.

I was introduced to this place a couple months ago and I’m so thankful I was. I have been here a total of two times and I don’t plan on stopping. Positives: there’s something to be said about portion sizes when it comes to sushi — too little rice to fish and other components leaves a sushi lover’s desire unfulfilled. You will not have this issue here. Portion is perfect and they seem to be larger than most places. I thoroughly enjoy Akaihana’s innovative and very robust menu — so many delicious items to choose from. Nigiri and sashimi with a bunch of speciality rolls to choose from. Negatives: service is lacking slightly. Whether they are understaffed or lack sense of urgency that remains to be undetermined. There have been a couple times in which I found myself waiting an extended amount of time for additional items. All in All: I am going to recommend this place to everyone and gladly do so. Please take all my money and put all the good sushi “in my BELLY”!
