Very beautiful exhibition
Beautiful paintings, very quiet, gorgeous location
Very interesting art museum gathering several large painting collections. The major part is from the original collection of the Cardinal Fesch, Napoleon's uncle, and is made up of numerous paintings, mainly religious art and for most of them from Italy from the 15th to the 18th century. The ground floor is didicated to paintings, sculptures and various objects related to Napoleon's family. A last floor below ground gathers paintings from Corsican artists from the 19th-20th century. It is also possible to visit the Bonaparte chapel, which is built right next to the palace/museum, where several members of the imperial family are buried.
Not a enormous museum, but has some pretty amazing paintings. Recommend downloading their app for a guided experience during the visit.
Some wonderful pictures from various times in history
Mostly old masters. In the basement were a few impressionists. Unfortunately only french descriptions... One star less. Why no English once? EU funding everywhere, but everything in french? ...
Outstanding introduction to this amazing Island .......
