Large servings, friendly staff, good English. Gave us complimentary coffees when a dish was delayed by a few minutes. Super location.

A burger place without burgers I went to this restaurant with my family and I do not recommend anyone to go there. We were looking for a place to eat a salad and a burger or maybe a pizza. We saw this restaurant called Papagayo. In the entrance of the restaurant you could read the different possibilities to take. What attracted us it was the “burgers specialty” that they where advertising. So, we decided to get in to have dinner and enjoy one of those hamburgers. There were 3 different possibilities to order (vegetarian, chicken, bacon). We asked for all of them. The firs problem was that we had to wait so long for just 4 burgers… We were thinking that a lot of people might have ordered for a burger so… they might be cooking it… but later we so that it could not have been that… The problem, the huge surprise that we discovered was …. That the hamburgers were coming without burger inside… yes… no meat… :o Our conversation with the waiter was as follows: Client – Hello, I think you might forgotten the burger on our burgers… (Pointing on the plate where there were just bread and bacon, nothing else). Waiter – No, we don’t put burgers in our burgers… it is a new concept. I think it is not necessary to say anything else…. Well, just that each burger with no burger cost 16,20 Euros… CRAZY! And yes, in the menu, the name of the plate is… a burger
My experience wasn't good. My wife had the tartar and I ate a sausage of beef intestines. Her Tartar was okay and the intestines, although far from what I wanted, were also okay. But they served both dishes with some french fries and they were inedible. The fries were burnt and soggy. We had to leave most of it in the plate. There were also pidgeons all flying around and sitting at the tables were the glasses were already set upside down. The service was ok and the price was similar to other places around. So I'd suggest that you try your luck in another place.
My salad was good and the place is kind!

Nous sommes venus manger avec des amis nous avons commandé des pâtes à la Carbo mais ce sont des pâtes aux poivres qui me sont arrivés on s’est même demandé limite si le pot de poivre n’était pas tombé dedans ...des lasagnes qui n’avait aucun goût ensuite nous avons commandé un café qui n’est jamais arrivé heureusement Que les verres de vin était bon nous sommes venus grâce ou à cause d’un conseil d’un ami qui était déjà venu manger chez vous nous regrettons mais nous vous avons quand même mis une étoile pour le cadre et la sympathie entre guillemets des serveurs
Très bon repas, service agréable et dynamique. On s'est régalé. Trouver un bon quand on en choisit un au hasard sur une place touristique c'est rare. Je recommande !
Endroit sympa sur la place, personnel convivial dynamique. Le menu est clair. J'ai pris la salade 'le papagayo', un vrai délice! Assiette très chargée et agreable à regarder ! Le prix est un peu élevé tout de même. Un mojito une salade 27,5. La raison pourquoi j'ai enlevé une étoile.
