Beautiful pub with delicious food. Stopped in here today for a quick bite and was delighted with my burger and even more delighted with my chips. They were the best damn chips I’ve had in years. Ha! Seriously. Service was relaxed and friendly and just right. Fantastic place!

Came in and said I had to get a 2 sausage roll to have a pint. What came out was a stone cold roll that tasted like it had been on the floor absolutely horrible
During lockdown when pubs were open visited the Ailsa on several occasions. Great pub with great staff. Lovely atmosphere with other members of local customers. Decided to try it for Sunday dinner, could not fault the food and service making us visit several times. Well done to all at the Ailsa Tavern see you all soon in December
After waiting 45 minutes for the food, it was not as good as it should have been for the time waited. The nachos were old and burned, would not recommend them. The glasses were dirty and unable to drink from. At the end of our meal, we asked for the receipt, and they wouldn't give it to us. The waitress was very impolite and rude. The receipts were made by the waitress (they were not official) and she did it wrong the first time so we had to count it ourselves, as she would only write the total instead of writing everything we consumed. It is a very unofficial place and it had a poor costumer service.
