Staff were incredible, really friendly and showed genuine empathy. I honestly could not have asked for anything more. Aftercare has been exceptional too. Thank you so much for all the work you do!

Came by ambulance with blue light & siren so got attended to straight away. My experience was traumatic but saved my life, so for me the staff are highly professional and I owe them everything. I never got to say thank you, but sending it now with my pacemaker heart. Just wish I had not lost my lovely red lace up shoes. God bless you all Shirley bibby, york

The staff at the A and E and the paramedics who helped me were incredible. The paramedics trecked up the street to my house in the worst snow in years and then helped me to the ambulance, they were professional and kind and im so grateful that they made the decision to take me to the LGI after a back injury. Furthermore, the doctors and nurses at A and E were extremely thorough and took precautions by getting me to have xrays and then a CT scan. The doctors took the time to explain to me, answer questions and reassure me about my results and I felt very taken care of.

A place for people who love to sit, wait, wait, watch other people and try figure out what is wrong with them and why they get seen before you do. Oh did I mention you also wait alot

Had to make my own way to A&E with a friend for whatever reason . Arrived at 1130pm and finally left at 10am .What a night that was . Not having a go at the staff themselves because they are brilliant , overworked and not enough of them !! A&E was extremely busy and ambulances were in and out during the night . At one stage it was more like a police station with the amount of police cars parked outside . Certainly not a place I would choose to be on a weekend . No I didn’t sit and try to work out who was ill and why they went in front of us . It was manic and I thank god there is a Costa cafe in Jubilee wing entrance that is open 24/7 ! It’s not cheap but very welcome at 4 am and still waiting !
