Action Aid is a non-profit charity that emphasises women's rights, and works to improve women's lives around the world, as well as provide humanitarian aid during crises. Recently reorganised, and rededicating its mission, Action Aid works with ethics and transparency for its donors and participants, and constantly re-examines its values to assure it meets its own high standards. Not as well-known as some larger charities, still its worldwide impact makes it a major player. Highly recommend if seeking a charity that is open, fervent in its mission, and totally focused on being effective and ethical.
