There is nothing to equal this model museum. It is definitely the best by a country mile. I've been five times and will go again soon. Peter K.

With a modest look from the outside, going in reveals to be a real treat for those who enjoy scale model dioramas. The museum features three main diorama scenes of different sizes who will keep you busy admiring the details for quite sometime. Along side them, you will find small exhibits, detailing information on their history and construction. In a way, this museum pulls at some of the nostalgia strings that many of us have and is a must for enthusiasts. For people who aren't so, you might want to give it a pass. While, with kids, the museum tries to engage them via a game of spot where they are given a sheet with multiple details listed, with the little ones having to spot them all, adults aren't as easy to entertain if they don't have a minimal interest on it.

Visited yesterday with Canterbury Model Railway Society. Had a lovely time. Would encourage anyone to visit even, if like me, you're not really into trains. The model work is exquisite and the volunteers are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.

Absolutely fantastic. Great place to spend a couple of hours, the attention to detail and skill invested in the models here is second to none. Well worth a visit even if you're not a model railway fan.

The most intricate and detailed railway model I’ve ever seen. All in 4mm and painstakingly hand made with love passion and an incredible attention to detail, it was a lovely break on a scorching day, air conditioned and perfectly lit, the most relaxed way to spend some time. The staff are amazing, from the supervisor who welcomed us as we relaxed upon arrival to the volunteers who advised on the building of bridges and who were happy to go into more detail for those in the party keen to make a model themselves (unexpectedly to all present!) the trains running are such a wide variety of GWR stock. Great facilities, a surprisingly airy coffee drinking area and a warm atmosphere. A piece of railway heritage, although for historical architectural experts, the buildings will be a treat.
