Fantastic display with very friendly staff. We spent an hour here and could easily have spent longer if we were able. The museum addresses all local history, from 400,000BC, all the way up to present day, with some fantastic artefacts to see! Completely free, what a brilliant place to visit.

My husband and I recently visited this fantastic museum. I would implore any young person who is not familiar with the historical aspects of Abingdon to visit this delightful museum. Extremely professional and well run, lovely picturesque view covering Abingdon and surrounding sights. I have yet to experience the famed bun throwing but thoroughly look forward to it!

I had a great experience on the roof of the museum! You can see a panoramic view of Abingdon and listen to the facts. The exhibitions were great; there were lots of interactive things. I recommend that if you are visiting Abingdon, stop by at this fantastic museum!

The museum is free but have to pay to go for roof top. I like the view. Staff said they surve tea and cake on the roof top during summer. I want to go back for it!

Some really interesting exhibits. Permanent displays are very good. They do 'showcases' too which are changed every few months. Both floors are worth a look and when the weather is good in spring/summer you can go out on the roof (charged for separately) and see for miles. The suggested donation is 2 to see the exhibits - well worth it in my view.
