I loved my visit here! I had been trying to visit and dine here for ages and it was well worth the wait (and slightly scary drive!) The food was amazing - I felt like I was dining in a fine dining restaurant. The atmosphere was delightful too. The interior of the restaurant is modern, clean and rustic. The prices were also much lower than I expected - yet another delight about this amazing gem of a restaurant! I would definitely recommend anyone to come here and it is well worth making a reservation, especially if you want to come for Sunday lunch.

First class! Found this pub online, when searching for pubs with fireplaces. Booked for Sunday lunch \on-spec\, and was not disappointed. Freshly cooked starters were amazing - I had gunpowder chicken with riata, and my wife had pigeon breast with blackberries & wild mushrooms - and we both went for the roast lamb main. Lovely \al-dente\ vegetables, unctuous cauliflower cheese, and a rich flavoursome gravy complemented the perfectly succulent and flavourful lamb. And to top it all off, the portions were very well considered. Loved it, will return soon!
Really fantastic food and excellent service. I've been there twice now, both before and after lockdown and really enjoyed it. The covid restrictions in place are great, you feel safe without it intruding on your evening. I also really enjoyed sitting outside this time, and although he didn't join us in the end they were happy to accommodate my friend's puppy. Hopefully they keep outdoor dining as an option moving forward.
Fantastic Sunday Lunch and lovely staff! Well well worth the 20 minute drive from our caravan park in clarach bay. Will definitely be visiting again next year! Thank you
