Having rehomed 2 dogs from here, and used the boarding once, I feel confident to recommend Mrs Murrays to anyone. They carried out a home check in a friendly manner - and I'm absolutely fine with that because I'd rather dogs were being rehomed to a nice environment. They allowed my other dog to meet the second dog in a secure area. They clearly genuinely care about the dogs in their care, and my dog boarded there without any issues. Finally - adopt don't shop! ️

Couldn't get a low enough rating for this place does not deserve to be a dog rehoming place quite happily told me about how if I was to steal a dog and hand it in because I signed the dog over they would not be aloud to give the dog back to the origanal owner and that they would have to go there the adoption proticall and when asked about getting a solicitor involved the receptionist became snide and cocky and told us to have a nice day this place should be shut down

I can't praise Mrs Murrys enough. The hard work they do is just great. Long story short..., I had to give up my American Bulldog, my 8 year old British Bulldog never took to her, and I had to separate them all the time. I'm in a tiny village, and a few neighbours were phoning the dog warden constantly, I got a dog notice served on me. I knew my Kaya wasnt aggressive at all and it broke my heart that she had to wear a muzzle all the time outdoors, and be on no more than a 6 feet lead. Thats no life for a 18 month old. With the help of the Aberdeenshire dog warden Mrs Murrys took her, during covid. When Kaya settled in there it was great to see her running free chasing a toy. I got to phone any time to see how Kaya was. Sadly, my British Bulldog, Tank, passed away 4 weeks ago, which broke my heart. Then I phone Mrs Murrys _and Kaya was going to her forever home that day. It made me so happy, she was rehomed in just over 4 weeks. Thank you to all the staff, I can't praise you enough .

We had an idea of the dogs we were looking at when we viewed them. The staff at Mrs Murray's were very professional and didn't tell us we couldn't adopt the dogs we wanted by gently steered us in another direction. They didn't pressure us into the adoption although they don't recommend long drawn out adoptions. It was obvious from the start that their main concern was the welfare of the dog. We even heard them giving other prospective adopters deadlines for actions in order for the adoption to proceed. We chose our dog and the home visit was arranged, again with no pressure but an understading that sooner was better. We passed the home visit and arranged collection for the day after the home visit. As we were taking a puppy we were given a full vaccination record and considering everything we got in our adoption pack there can't be a lot left from the adoption fee when that cost is taken out. We're taking him back to visit soon so they can see him and be reassured he is happy. We will also be donating when we can. Throughout the entire process the staff were knowledgeable, patient, helpful and encouraging. We really felt like they saw us as suitable adopters and I really believe they matched us to the right dog for us.
