This student accommodation should have been ideal. It’s location opposite RGU and a short walk to the gym, shops etc. The social spaces look nice and the rooms are big. But from the start last September repeated fire alarm activations, anti social behaviour, hygiene issues in the flat (as you have no choice in who you share with in first year), broken washing machine, very expensive washing machines when they do work and the lift broken for weeks - when you live on the 4th floor!! Not great! The ‘social’ activities arranged were a huge disappointment and hardly anyone went to them. Complaints were not dealt with by management. The fire alarm situation was very stressful and since most ignored them and didn’t go out to wait for the fire brigade was also dangerous. Assumptions were made that it was always a false alarm but it might not have been. Then came the pandemic! Chaos! No information. Students stuck elsewhere in quarantine paying high rents for facilities they couldn’t get to or use. After 3 months of communications ( most ignored), involving the MP, the Landlord agreed that we could have all of our rent back from the day left the flat - 19th March. But they reneged on this and in the end we only got part of the money back from May (when the Covid Bill Scotland 2 was passed) to the 51 week point in August. Losing a lot of money and still paying out elsewhere for living costs. So think carefully before signing up for long contracts to live here. Students are promised stress free living but this was a very stressful 6/7 months from September to March.

No financial support given, nor option to discuss tenancy agreement during Covid-19 pandemic. Received email stating they were 'discussing' issue with landlord and would received further reply. This message was also on their website between 9th April and 27th May 2020. Caledon Court /Fresh Student Living delayed their response to enable them to take final payment in April. They did not respond further to any tenancy agreement holiday / exit discussion. There are many other problems with Caledon Court, including excessive late evening noise and behavioural problems that are not handled by staff. The fire alarm is regularly set off via false alarms during early hours of the morning requiring all people to vacate the building. The office is regularly closed due to 'staff illnesses' and there is no cover provided. The shared flat communal areas were supposed to be deep cleaned, however, the kitchen units were dirty and had faulty shelves. There is no car parking available to students and parking in the immediate area requires a permit (not available to non-Aberdeen residents). Students and staff smoke close to the entry/exit gate, which means that it is impossible to be safe and avoid breathing second-hand smoke particles. I will not be using Caledon Court for my future student accommodation requirements. I would not recommend Caledon Court Fresh Student Living.

Do not come to this place!! The fire alarm goes off almost every day sometimes even more than ones a day and they don't do anything about it even though everyone is complaining and the fire apartment gave them a note! The washing machine is too expensive on top of the very high rent already. It is not worth it at all! Also some friends reported some broken things and they still haven't fixed it

Overall a nice accommodation to stay but the fire alarms go off almost every single day and some reported issues (e.g. mold on walls) are not resolved. The prices are also really high. I hope something is done to make this accomodation a better place. I will give 5 stars once the fire alarms get fixed. You can do it caledon court!

I am really upset about this accomodation. The fire alarms goes off every day disturbing me from my studies. The rent is very high which stresses and pressures me financially. Please make caledon great again!!!
