B&Q open for business. No queues, and plenty parking spaces. Wear your mask and sanitize your hands, and off you go. Place was pretty quiet when I was there, and everyone was keeping to social distancing. Got everything I needed. Recommended.

Copy of my email to the manufacturers. Dear Sir or Madam, I just thought I’d send you some photos of the wheelbarrow recently delivered by B and Q. I ordered a wheelbarrow described as a builders which had complete frame ( rather than the two screwed in metal ties at the front wheel. It was painted all green. The photos below show the dreadful product that was supplied, not looking like the one I ordered. There seems to be a thought that it’s only a wheelbarrow and it will get bashed but occasionally I’m sure some buy one as a gift. Clearly B and Q could care less about preserving your Hallmark of Quality serving up this example. Rust has already set in, especially at rear left joint, the left hand frame is bent inwards and is presumably not safe. The basin is bashed and front wheel is at a strange angle. I now have to wait for the wheel barrow to be collected and a refund at some stage in the future. I cannot bring myself to order another of your products online if your retailers are prepared to deliver items in such poor and dangerous condition given the bent legs. It a very poor example of a wheelbarrow and I’m sure you can feel no pride in this product as an example of your work. BQ say we’ll collect and refund, no apologies , they simply aren’t bothered, in my opinion we’ve lost something important in retailing when a company cannot bring themselves to say, sorry, we let you down, we let the recipient of the gift down, we shouldn’t have sent out a product in this condition and how can we make it right and quickly ? They have no thought about people not being able to use the product on receipt and what the consequences of a delay might be for people’s earnings if the item lets them down. Sorry to go on but your product would appear not capable of even withstanding storage at BQ let alone doing the work it was intended for.

Good selection supplies, usually pretty well stocked. Staff are helpful and have fairly good knowledge of products and are quick to point you in the right direction when you can't find what you are looking for. Some products can be a bit pricey but it's convenient having everything under one roof.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They were able to offer alternative suggestions that would be more beneficial than what I was originally there looking for. Great service!
