Really cute little cafe-cum-restaurant. We sat outside in the front and watched the horses go by in the lovely little hamlet. Enjoyed my really cheesy Lasagne and the hubby had a chip butty. The chips were the proper home made deep fried variety. The staff were friendly and although there was a bit of a wait the food was freshly prepared and worth it. A lovely way to break up a canal walk. Will be returning to try out the lamb shank

Dropped in while kayaking along the Leeds Liverpool Canal with my friend - and yes we 'parked' the kayak right outside! Gorgeous location, clean, Covid aware (without making you feel like an outcast carrying the plague), comfy garden, well spaced picnic benches and accommodating staff. Was a little slow in service for just a couple of pints, but during these times I guess that's understandable. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Slowest service known to man. Waitresses don't make eye contact or acknowledge you on any way. Tables weren't cleared away and we ended up sitting and eating at a table piled high with the last people's food.

Always served good, classic, English menu...has adopted Covid measures well. A family favourite, also great to sit outside when the weather permits.

A very popular venue, in an old cottage near to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. There are attractive grounds surrounding the building. Tell service and product is excellent.
