A beautiful and well maintained park with views of St. Edmund's cathedral. It's tranquility and interesting ruins, avairy, children's play area and small river, makes this a well used site of recreation. You wouldn't believe you are a stone's throw from a vibrant town and market. Well done Bury St. Edmunds. A real joy to visit.

Abbey gardens is a beautiful location which is enjoyed by many. It offers a diverse range of communal areas, with a children's play ground, bird aviary, a cafe, the ruins of the abbey, beautifully maintained gardens including a rose garden dedicated to the airmen of WWII, all with plenty of benches to sit on. People come to read, sit in the sun with friends or just have a walk. If your5 close by it's always worth a wander through this relaxing environment.

Good place to go for all ages. Interesting ruins with information boards. Great playground for the children too. The squirrels are very tame and often feed from giving hands! The avairy is nice to visit with a variety of colourful birds as well which is enjoyed by all. Most paths suitable for pushchair and wheelchair use. There are lovely gardens, including a gated water garden. There are toilets open and usually a cafe, however this is currently closed. There was another hot drinks vendor on site today. The gardens shop is open.
