With reference to yesterday's funeral of our friend Robert Stoddart at the crematorium Henley Rd. My main comment - also noted by several others in the congregation - was the inability to hear almost anything said by Jill Harbridge - the conducting celebrant. It is no criticism of the lady herself - probably a fault of the microphone - although the music was very clear. I felt it inappropriate to comment at the time, but it did detract from the crematorium part of the celebration. Judith MacBeth

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Melanie Knight at AB Walker and Son Funeral Directors for her help and compassion to me with regard to my wife’s funeral arraignments. Against the backdrop of Covid restrictions, she was of great support and also Joanne Myall who stepped in to help where needed. It allowed for memorable tribute to my wife, one which I shall never forget.
