Spoke to these guys, booked over the phone and picked the van up the next day. Got a Vauxhall lwb, was clean and drove well. I did more than the included mileage but had asked beforehand and excess mileage is pretty cheap. Highly recommended, no issues at all.

Recently hired a car with A1 and was really impressed with overall helpfulness and how easy they made things. Decent price, good terms & conditions (unlimited mileage on this particular hire) and just a nice bunch of people to deal with. Would definitely return and most certainly recommend.

Helpful, friendly staff, vans are kept in good condition, easy to pick up and easy to drop off out of hours. Very reasonably priced, remember to take a printout of your DVLA hire code.

As a 24 year old, I'm often met with patronising remarks and derision from the chain vehicle rentals that I have used in the past. I've also had to pay an extortionate surcharge, despite being an experienced van driver. I can't fault A1, they were perfect from beginning to end, and the best value rental I've ever used. Staff were so helpful on the day, made sure I knew where everything was, tips about driving, assured me about how and when to return it. Vehicle was in good condition, did everything I needed and got me from A to B safely and comfortably. I've moved away from the area now, but next time I need to rent a van, I'd happily travel up and use this company again.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Vans were available at relatively short notice for weekend hire. Prices were competitive. Their vans worked well. Convenient location en-rout from the local Shell petrol station. \u003e I hired from A1 Holloway twice for a house move and major Ikea trip, firstly a Citroen Berlingo (small van) and then a Ford Transit 280. The smaller Berlingo had a useful reverse warning beacon which was handy! The larger Ford Transit had no reverse warning beacon, so I had some guidance with parking from my passenger ;-) \u003e I would use A1 Holloway again \u003e Although very useable, the larger van could be updated to include a reversing beacon. Wear on both vans was present but only cosmetic and did not affect usability.
