Best local and fresh meat you can get. Service is superb and the butchers are really informative and nice. We go there every week since quarantine and can’t wait to go back again. Not sure what that previous negative reviewer is talking about because the price and quality is unbeatable.

Poor service and the steak quality was mediocre at best. I went to the butcher for good service and good quality. I wanted a thick cut appropriate for BBQ grilling. Instead, I got a gruff \take it or leave it\ attitude about the meat cut, which wasn't the thickness or portion size I asked for. We could have handled the rough service if the meat were tasty, but instead the steak was tough and gristly. In the end, it wasn't even better than Tesco. My partner is a professional chef, so don't think it was the cooking that cause the poor end result. The spare ribs we got that day were great, but the steak was a loser--just like the service. I was really disappointed, and will not be back.
We have shopped here for 40 years or so. Always courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Locally raised beef is superb and prices very reasonable.
Really good quality food and great service
Recently, A Waller & Son collaborated with the Cambridge University Cardiothoracic Society to host a suturing event using pig hearts. In short, they were friendly, flexible and their products were well-priced. I cannot recommend their service enough!
