I had an excellent experience with this company. I have a (very) old IBM typewriter that was barely working, which I couldn't really identify, let alone diagnose. A technician came over to my house, showed me what model it was, gave me a cost and time estimate for repairs, and took it back to their workshop; and just according to schedule, he brought it back in perfect shape. It took a couple weeks and it feels new. I would definitely recommend them.
Had an old typewriter picked up. Was to be cleaned and have a new ribbon put on. It was returned in the same condition. I was so busy, & didn't have time to fully check right away. Keys stuck, old ribbon (not mine) not even put in right! Would never use this company again.
Wonderful in-home service. Very nice gentleman who truly loves typewriters. Knows them inside and out. I highly recommend A to Z Typewriter. You won't be disappointed.
This guy is a wizard at fixing IBM Selectrics. He can get anything running, can find the rare parts, and can even modify for special uses. Personable too, with a thousand stories. I recommend him highly. If he ever retires, we will have to throw these wonderful machines away.
