Friendly place.... very friendly! Was in Dallas for a couple of days for a conference, so had to try the famous Texas bbq. Chose this restaurant as it was in walking distance from the hotel (per Google maps). A bit pricey for picnic type food... think all I ordered came to 23 something but then again, if you knew how to order it probably would be fine. I was a bit overwhelmed by all the choices and it was a lot of food!!! Have to say that baked potato casserole (dish at top right) was really good... ribs very tender too.
This place is fantastic! Tried a few BBQ places in the area, and this was by far the best. They have clearly worked hard to create a good ambiance. It’s very casual, even rustic. Super friendly staff too. Would come back every time I am in Dallas .
WOW! OK I know BBQ is pretty popular and everyone has their favorite, but you gotta try Sammy's! Fork tender sliced brisket that is smoky and juicy! No dry slabs of meat here. Their loaded potato casserole is the best part of a loaded baked potato in every bite! They have a variety of fresh sides that are all house made. Coleslaw was tasty too. Definitely worth a try!
The BBQ is very tasty! Meat is tender and flavorful. Sides are also yummy. Soda selection is nice. Service is warm and friendly. Kinda hard to spot unless you know exactly whet it is. Definitely worth checking out for certain!
