Food was pretty good for bar food. Very greasy and fried, but good. The jojos (thick cut french fries) were very good and the sweet potato fries were really good too. Good amounts of seasonings on them. The garlic burger was good, but not as garlicky as I was hoping for. Service was terrible, they didn't enforce mask restrictions and were overcrowded. When I arrived I called their phone number they had posted outside and it went to voicemail! Not even a quick \please hold\. I went into the potentially contaminated building and waited for a while for someone to help and they sent me over to the dining room, which appeared covid safe and I waited for a while with some delivery drivers until someone came out and said \have you been helped\ and they were finally helpful.

I really would like to give it 5 stars, but the server was no where to be found for 10 minutes after we sat down and it took us 20 minutes to get our food. It wasn't busy either probably, about half the tables were in use. A friend ordered a burger to go, and I had forgotten he even ordered it since it took so long to receive it. The server was nice and the guy from the bar came over and was really friendly. He actually left the bar to come over and offer drinks, and told us his opinions on the food. He also stopped by to see if we liked the orders. The food was pretty good and priced fairly. Proportions were about right, the coleslaw was fine but reminded me of getting a scoop from those huge buckets we'd get in high school. I would definitely come back to try more of the burgers. As a group we split a PB&J Juicy Lucy. It was interesting...
Good prices and solid yummy food. The beer is in nice big glasses and the menu is not complicated.
The menu is very unique! I only rate this 4 stars because takeout is the only option right now and the burgers were not as fresh. Perhaps one day I could have the pleasure of eating it straight from the kitchen. I've come to the conclusion that Matt's may be the original, but 5-8 makes it unique.
Burgers are always amazing and delicious plus the amount of food for the price is great. Fried pickles are fantastic.
