The most popular sushi place in the Omicho market. Come before 10am to make sure you are in the first batch to go in once they open the door. Else you will queue for quite a long time, cos there was only 1 sushi chef to make all the orders. And be careful they are closed every Tuesday. I didn’t order the complete one, cos I had it from the other store the day before (because it was Tuesday). So I ordered this one, with 2 of my most favorite food in one dish, crab and shrimp. But somehow I was not wowed, maybe because I have tasted the similar dishes from Hokkaido. And this fell short.

Different from any other else. I always order Jyoh-chirashi-oohmimach. I never feel like to go to any other seafood rice bowl cuisine in Kanazawa after I knew here by a recommendation of a local staff of hotel concierge.

I’m not the kind of person who writes reviews, but the service was pretty substandard. The waitstaff is young and seem undertrained when it comes to providing good customer service. The most shocking example: after my husband and I were seated, I got up to ask the a waitress where the restroom was. She said it was located after the street, but that she would only tell me where it was *after* I’d placed my order. She used super polite Japanese, but I was shocked that she would make me hold it until I’d made my choice. The food itself was... okay. My husband seemed satisfied with his. I was happy that the cuts of fish were so thick, but several of them were so filled with sinew that I couldn’t eat them. Definitely was t worth what we paid for it. The best thing that my husband and I had in the market was a botan ebi (shrimp) from one of the fish vendors. I strongly recommend eating your way around the market in the morning than going to this place.
