Silver Street Ceilidh band played at our August wedding and were fantastic. We were running behind and they were very flexible - agreeing to play much later than originally agreed. Martin was great at calling - giving clear , easy to follow instructions and playing the (slightly boisterous) crowd very nicely. The whole band were really friendly and played great music with natural ease. I would 100% recommend!!!

Martin and the band came to play at our wedding reception in December and what a great night we had! They were absolutely fantastic. We were supposed to have a DJ but due to an unforeseen incident they couldn’t make it, Martin and the band were extremely professional and accommodating in these circumstances & throughout the evening ensured that we had music and entertainment beyond what had been contractually agreed and all with a smile. Their music was brilliant, everyone who came thoroughly enjoyed the dances and commented on how much fun it was. Would recommend them for any type of event at the drop of a hat, thank you again for making our special day one we won’t forget - for all the right reasons :)
We used Silver Street for mine and my husband's joint 40th birthday party and they were excellent! Prompt and professional to deal with and they provided the most fantastic memorable ceilidh experience. I picked Silver Street because I read another review that said Martin (who pays the fiddle and calls the ceilidh) strikes a really good balance of teaching the guests enough to enjoy the dances but not so much as it becomes serious/tedious - this was spot on. Immense fun had by all, with guests ranging from 5-77 years! Thank you Martin, Beth, Joe and Will.
What a night with Silver Street Ceilidh Band. I knew Martin from an event I organised 2 years ago for St Patrick. The line up has slightly changed since then but it was absolutely phenomenal. We organised a fundraiser for our school. Guests were at first very shy but as soon as the band started to play everybody warmed up very quickly and the night was excellent. Martin was a great caller and made everyone at ease. I could not recommend them enough. Great communication before the event, arrived on time, discreet, great music. Such a great experience. We will definitely booked them again for our next event.
Great, lively music from a friendly and professional band. Martin and I had a good chat through things over the phone in advance of our wedding to answer some of my questions and work out a few logistics and finer details. Martin was very reassuring and accommodating and followed up promptly with details as promised. On the big day, the band were fantastic. They got themselves set up and adapted without any trouble to a delayed start (our meal had overrun). The music sounded great and the calling was really clear and with just the right amount of explanations to get everyone dancing and more or less(!) doing the right things whilst still keeping things moving nicely. Nearly all our guests, young and old, ended up getting stuck in, which was great fun and made our day extra memorable for everyone. Highly recommended!
