Strasbourg has no need to be introduced. Just its location is worth a visit, with French German border on reach on foot from the centre of the town in 5 minutes & the French seat of European institutions. This small restaurant in a quiet street a few steps from one of the main pedestrian roads is family run. Short, typically regional food list, short wine list obviously with offers not just from Alsace. Top quality of food, perfectly cooked even if local meat food is not exactly the easiest raw material to manage. Perfect digestion, good portions, balanced prices.

Loved the food and the atmosphere, amazing! I didn’t mind the humour of the owner of the restaurant, even thought it was funny!he has a unique personality, he is loud and he speaks what comes to his mind, no filter! With our table he was funny, but we others not that much, even a bit rude...if you’re looking for a quiet or romantic dinner, this is definitely NOT the place!IF YOU HAVE HUMOR and want an different experience (and goooooood food) this is the place!!

Authentic alsatian restaurant. Once you enter you know that you are not going to forgot about that dinner. Good food, nice service by Thomas. A guarantee of success.

Fabulous introduction to the traditional Alsace winstub. The (i presume) owner was hilarious and very welcoming. Those that review the place as having been rude really have no sense of humour. When I was there from UK, there were also Italian and Malaysian diners as well as the locals. The food was most enjoyable - I had the choucroute garni for mains. As soon as I walked in I knew I had found my place to eat - the decor and cosy feeling of the place tells you how your meal will be. The only downside was that it was closed Sunday & Monday. If it was open then, I'd have eaten in there 3 times and not once. I will be back though - guaranteed...

Just got home from eating dinner here. Best meal I’ve had in Strasbourg. Traditional Alsatian food. So good. I didn’t want to leave. Need to go back and have more

The food was to die for. The owner is so sweet and will help you make choices. He cooks what’s in season and you should try the specials!!! The sauerkraut is the best I’ve ever had. He even helped us choose a great Alcase wine. A must on your bucket list.
