This “active club” does NOT accommodate to tourists at all regarding realistic pricing... Decided to drop-in for a quick lift while visiting Porto for three days. The lady at the front desk informed us that it would cost 180 for my wife and I to use the gym. 30/day per person for drop-in! As of today (August 20, 2018) that is the going rate if you aren’t a local resident or know an active gym member. All the other reviews on here about 10 drop-ins and a first day free trial is FALSE. Luckily we found another gym 200m up the road that charges 20 for the week. Highly suggest avoiding Virgin Active and taking your business elsewhere. No gym on this planet is worth 180 for three days even if it has a swimming pool. Hope this review is helpful for other tourists passing through the area!

Scam alert. This gym says it has renovated to a new brand but continues to operate under the virgin active brand on apps, logo, displays, employee sweaters, and even on receipts (see pics). They even charge multi access members to use basically their own gym (since it still operates under the virgin brand). Avoid at all costs.
Great luxury gym. However, slow when it comes to maintenance of the premises. Focus mire on profile rather than customer care.
30 Euro per person. I’m a strength coach by trade and like to stay active while abroad but hard to justify paying this when there are so many other ways to be active in this city and other gyms that offer competitive pricing for tourists. Posting this review since many others have posted about it being only 10 Euros which is NOT the case as of October 2018. Hope this helps someone else while they are on their travels.
Well equipped with good machines. Newer too crowded. There are many courses, mostly in the week days. Moreover you you access to spa and swimming pool
A little bit expensive. But this is the best gym instalations in city center. With a swimming pool and a nice relaxing hot big jacuzzi area. Two classes rooms, a bike room and a mind and body room. There are lots of options.
It is a very nice club on a more expensive side. 70 euros per month. It has a gym, swimming pool, big spa area, group classes and a cafeteria as an extra. Additional services are expensive and they would try to sell you those. Staff is nice but feels a bit demotivated perhaps because of low pay. Interior is a bit run-down and needs some renovation especially lockers. After the club of a similar level at my country such things like shabby lockers and squeeky machines are appalling signs of neglect. Luxury demands investment, guys.
Great gym with all facilities in addition to a lot of variety classes ; dance ,boxing...... . The stuff are very friendly and helpful just two points : The first is the turkish bath and jakuzy have unpleasant smell, I have complained many times about it when I was a member there in 2015 not only me my friends also now I don't know. The second point which is more important is that I have been stolen three times; The first time my towel and shampoo just left them for few minutes they disappeared , second time my shoes while I was taking a shower, the third my phone someone broke the locker and took it. I think they knew the thief (maybe the clean stuff or a dangerous person like the manager said to make me feel afraid) because after three days they bring me back my phone and they didn't want to pursue the investigation knowing that he just left the phone at the receptionist where there are surveillance cameras. it's my experience in virgin active I hope u won't have the same experience.
