Delicious barbecue chicken topped with olives and pickled vegetables. We ended up going two nights in a row because it was so easy, and so good, and super affordable. We felt like part of the family by the second night because they recognized us and kept just bringing us things to try. Definitely done old school, and super authentic. No computer system, just a guy adding your tab on paper. One of the best meals in Portugal, and that says a lot because Portugal has amazing food. If you’re in Peniche, check it out!

The chef/owner of the restaurant is a Superhero! So kind and nice! Food was also really tasty!!
They charged 8 Euros extra for a tiny plastic container of pate and 5.50 for 4 pieces of bread. It seemed like a scam!
A hidden gem! Delicious chicken with a home cooked feel. Look forward to visiting many times again.
When you're fed up of seafood and need a great local chicken and chips this is the spot! Large portions, great dried meat starter and the chicken main is divine after a day in the fresh air and waves! Friendly, non English speaking service makes for a great local flavour!
Very good staff. Loved it. Ask for the \merdinha\ when you go there. Best drink of the house.
